The Ibrox football stadium is the home ground of Scottish Premier League Champions Rangers F.C and is located on the south side of the River Clyde in the Ibrox district of Glasgow.

Ibrox (formally known as Ibrox Park) is one of the oldest and largest stadiums in the United Kingdom dating back to 1928 when it was originally constructed and has undergone many redevelopment's over the years and now has a capacity of over 51,000 spectators and is a listed building.

It once held the coveted UEFA five-star stadium status and has been recognised architecturally. Comprising of four ‘seater’ stands, all designed using the ‘goalpost structure’, in which a large portal frame supports perpendicular beams on which roof cladding is secured.

In addition to the field the stadium contains the club’s administrative offices, corporate entertainment facilities, player lounges, changing rooms and a trophy room. Rangers are currently investigating options to further develop the Ibrox to a 70,000 seater which would make it the largest sports stadium in Scotland. Approval has also recently been given by Glasgow City Council to redevelop area around with hotel and retail outlets.
